Kathmandu. A man who tried to extort money by showing a fake pistol claiming to be a roaming policeman of District Police Office Rupandehi has been arrested. The arrested person is 49-year-old Rakesh Pratap Rana of Siddharthnagar Municipality-13. He was currently living in Omasatiya Rural Municipality-4 Balapur by renting a room
The police received information that Rana was demanding 10,000 rupees from various people by showing a pistol and saying that he was a mobile policeman in the Bhairahawa market area. Based on the information, the police team deployed from District Police Office Rupandehi took him into custody from Siddharthnagar Municipality-13 Shantinagar.
