Kathmandu. The Election Commission has given election symbols to the political parties participating in the proportional system of the House of Representatives election scheduled for February 21. On Friday, the Commission has registered those political parties and provided them with election symbols.     According to Assistant Electoral Officer Yagya Prasad Bhattarai, he applied to participate in the proportional election within three days on 21st, 22nd and 23rd of this month.

He said that although 100 parties have applied for that election system, two or more parties have applied to participate in a single election symbol, so a total of 93 election symbols have been retained.
