82 days left for the House of Representatives elections, sign the parties participating in the proportional

Kathmandu. The Election Commission has given election symbols to the political parties participating in the proportional system of the House of Representatives election scheduled for February 21. On Friday, the Commission has registered those political parties and provided them with election symbols.     According to Assistant Electoral Officer Yagya Prasad Bhattarai, he applied to participate in the proportional election within three days on 21st, 22nd and 23rd of this month. 

    He said that although 100 parties have applied for that election system, two or more parties have applied to participate in a single election symbol, so a total of 93 election symbols have been retained.

    The commission said that the serial number and election symbols were provided based on the proportional votes received in the election of the members of the House of Representatives in 2079. In the case of others, marks have been provided on the basis of registration.

    The commission has determined the election symbol as the sun as the first number, tree as the second, five-pointed star as the third, bell as the fourth, plow as the fifth, umbrella as the sixth, loud speaker as the seventh.

    Similarly, there will be plain dhakia, bicycle, madal, glass, walking stick, single open eye, root, two folded hands saluting, chicken cock, jug, paw print, well, doko, sickle and star, lotus flower, guitar, house, sickle etc.
