8,000 policemen with technology deployed in flood-affected areas, establishment of 'focal desk' in hospitals and airports
Kathmandu. After the devastating flood in Bhotekoshi river, the government has mobilized 8,000 policemen to search for citizens, protect people's property, rescue and manage relief. Teams from various provinces and police units have been deployed to address the multifaceted problems of the affected areas and to reduce potential disaster risk.
According to the police head office, 1,602 people have been mobilized from the head office, 2,182 people from Bagmati province, 1,309 people from Gandaki province, 640 people from Lumbini province and 754 people from Kathmandu valley police office.
