50 people were arrested for protesting at the funeral home without permission

Kathmandu. On Saturday, Nepal Police detained 50 people who came to protest in Maitighar in Kathmandu without taking permission from the local administration. The members of Genji United, who had come to demonstrate at Maitighar since Saturday morning, were detained by the team of District Police Complex, Kathmandu for questioning. The police complex, Kathmandu said that they tried to demonstrate without the permission of the local administration and because it was seen that the demonstrators would be insecure due to a possible encounter between other Genji groups, they were detained for questioning. Out of the 50 arrested, 24 are women and 26 are men.

Zenji United leader Madan Karki said that they did not get permission from the District Administration Office, Kathmandu to demonstrate freely. He said that it was not democratic for the police administration to control the protestors. We are going to go with a positive attitude that Genji should be united. But we were stopped. "We did not get permission from the District Administration Office Kathmandu, it was not given," said Khanal.
