5 people including Inspector Shahi were acquitted in the honeytrap case

Kathmandu. 5 people including Inspector Binu Shahi of Nepal Police have been acquitted by the court in the case where they were accused of extorting money from a real estate dealer in Bhainsepati. On Tuesday, the bench of Judge Dhakaram Paudel of Lalitpur District Court acquitted Shahi along with Bhimadevi Thapa, Susma Vick, Darshan Pokharel and the then assistant constable Mahendra Hamal working in Bhainsepati division.


In this case, Taj Mool Islam, who owns the Itahari house, has been found guilty. The court sentenced him to one and a half years imprisonment and a fine of 30,000 rupees.
