18 hours staff will be deployed to organize Bala Chaturdashi
Kathmandu. Pashupati Kshetra Development Fund is going to assign all the employees to work for at least 18 hours during this year's Bala Chaturdashi Mela. In order to organize this year's Bala Chaturdashi Mela festival more than last year, the fund said that no employees will be assigned at least 18 hours in the Pashupati area without any leave. To make the Bala Chaturdashi Mela more organized, it has been decided to deploy the employees here for at least 18 hours in the Pashupati area, said Subhash Chandra Joshi, Acting Member Secretary of the Fund. The decision was taken by the Bala Chaturdashi Mela festival preparation meeting presided over by Chief District Officer of Kathmandu Ishwarraj Paudel.
He said that from the morning of Tuesday 2nd of November to Wednesday 3rd of November until the end of the fair, the employees are going to organize the fair at various places in Pashupati area.
Member Secretary Joshi mentioned that the meeting also decided to light a lamp in the Pashupati area in the name of those who were martyred during the Genji movement on 23rd and 24th August. The fund has also requested everyone to provide the name and family name of Genji Martyr to light the lamp. According to him, special arrangements have been made in the Rudragareshwar area if the Genji Martyr family wants to stay overnight and light the lamp.
Member Secretary Joshi said that a decision has also been taken not to allow people to spend the night with lights on in the Pashupatinath temple premises. Since there is a throng of devotees inside the main temple premises of Pashupatinath, no place will be given to those who distribute any kind of free materials.
