17 construction companies blacklisted, public projects banned

Kathmandu. The government has decided to blacklist 17 construction companies. The Public Procurement Monitoring Office under the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers issued a public notice on Thursday and said that those companies have been blacklisted for one to two years.

According to the office, according to Section 63 1 of the Public Procurement Act, 2063, those companies have been punished for violating the contract, not completing the work on time or leaving the construction work incomplete. The blacklisted companies will not be able to engage in construction work with any public body until the specified period is completed. As mentioned in the notice, some companies have been banned for one year and some for two years.
