124 road accidents, 12 deaths and 174 injuries in the month of Baisakh due to Mapase
Kathmandu. In the month of Baisakh alone, there were 124 vehicle accidents across the country due to driving under the influence of alcohol. According to the Nepal Police, 12 people lost their lives and 174 people were injured in the accident. As the risk of road accidents is continuously increasing due to Mapase, the police has specially requested the drivers to strictly follow the traffic rules.
According to Central Police Spokesperson and Deputy Inspector General of Police Avinarayan Kafle, 37 vehicle accidents took place in Kathmandu Valley alone in Baisakh, in which two people died and 50 people were injured. According to the state-wise details, two people died and 53 people were injured in 35 accidents in Koshi province, while 27 people were injured in 20 accidents in Madhes province. Similarly, one person died and 19 were injured in 12 accidents in Bagmati province, while four people died and three were injured in five accidents in Gandaki province.
