House of Representatives Election: 10,967 polling stations were established across the country
Kathmandu. There will be a total of 10,967 polling stations across the country for the election of members of the House of Representatives scheduled for February 21. The Election Commission has added 168 polling stations for easy voting.
There were 10,892 polling stations in Savik. Likewise, 93 polling stations that are not in use and adjusted have been abolished. According to the commission, the polling station has been fixed for the general voters to vote easily and conveniently. Polling stations that are not suitable for voters and are not in use have been abolished and added to the places where they are available.
During the review of the polling place, correcting the error in the name and address of the polling place, partial or all the voters will be transferred to the place suitable for the voter. Likewise, the voters have been adjusted to another polling station. The commission had already informed through a public notification for the review of the polling station.
During the review, if any voter's name was moved to the respective polling station or was exempted from being included, it was requested to protest the claim. The commission mentioned that it is arranged that a candidate can apply for transfer of name from one polling station within the same ward to another polling station of his choice.
Similarly, with the release of the First Amendment Ordinance, 2082, the percentage of inclusive groups towards the proportional election system for the upcoming elections has also been eased.
