After the opening of Tatopani and Rasuwagadhi, Korlanaka's business declined
Mustang. After Tatopani and Rasuwagadhi checkpoints came into operation, the import-export trade from Nepal-China North Korlana located in Mustang has decreased. According to the Mustang Customs Office, there are currently very few cargo containers coming from Korlanaka and only 8-10 are pending for inspection.
Previously, 15-20 containers used to pass the customs inspection daily, but now the business has almost decreased. So far, Korlanaka has imported more than 11 billion rupees, exported more than 19 million rupees and collected more than five and a half billion in revenue. As the traffic at the checkpoint has decreased, the activities at the customs office and local areas have also slowed down.
