YouTuber arrested for insulting Prime Minister Shah
Kathmandu. A YouTuber has been arrested by the police for broadcasting unlimited and abusive content against Prime Minister Balendra Balen Shah.
Roshan Pokharel of Panchthar was arrested for making misleading and dehumanizing videos targeting Prime Minister Shah and other political leaders through YouTube channel.
Pokharel, a resident of Falgunand Rural Municipality 7, was arrested by the team of District Police Office, Panchthar. According to DSP Anish Karna of District Police Office Panchthar, he was detained based on the investigation and coordination of Cyber Bureau of Police. Pokharel, who was arrested for an extension of 10 days, has been detained by the court with an extension of 10 days. The police said that they are preparing to prosecute him under the Cybercrime Act.
