World Meditation Day being celebrated today, special program at Tundikhel
Kathmandu. According to the announcement of the United Nations, today is the 'World Meditation Day'. The United Nations has announced that December 21st will be celebrated as World Meditation Day. Accordingly, Dhyan Day is also going to be celebrated in Nepal. The United Nations General Assembly has accepted yoga and meditation as complementary measures for health.
On December 7 last year, the United Nations officially recognized December 21 as World Meditation Day. In the same year, the day was celebrated for the first time in Tundikhel under the organization of the government. This year too, this day is going to be celebrated under the government's plan.
According to those involved in this field, Nepal should be developed as the world's 'meditation capital'. After eleven years of continuous efforts, the United Nations recognized the Day of Meditation.
This proposal was advanced since 2014. On December 7 last year, the United Nations General Assembly passed the resolution of 18 countries, including Nepal, to celebrate Meditation Day.
On this occasion, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology organized a program at Sainik Manch Tundikhel this morning. Similarly, there is a group meditation program with interaction about meditation in Brahmananda Saraswati Village located in Bosan, Dakshinkali Municipality (1). On this occasion, other concerned bodies have also organized various programs today.
