Woman arrested for defrauding 2.7 million by saying that she will send it to Canada
Kathmandu. The police have arrested a woman on the charge of defrauding money by luring her to work in Canada with an attractive salary. The arrested person is 51-year-old Geeta Bhandari, who lives in Kanchanpur Bhimdatta Municipality-18 and currently lives in Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward No. 9.
It has been found that Bhandari, who was arrested, took Rs. 27 lakhs from 5 victims saying that she would send them to Canada and then lost contact. After receiving a complaint from the victims of money fraud, the police deputed from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office arrested him from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-9. He has been sent to the Foreign Affairs Department for necessary investigation and action.
