Withdrawal of movement of manpower after agreement with Ministry of Labour
Kathmandu. The Nepal Foreign Employment Professionals Association is going to end the agitation and pressurizing program it has been conducting since July 22 regarding various issues in the field of foreign employment. After the discussion held today in the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security, the union has decided to withdraw the protest program. The ministry informed that discussions were held with the president and advisers of the Nepal Foreign Employment Professionals Association with the participation of the minister and secretary of the ministry.
In the discussion, there was a detailed discussion regarding various 15 point demands raised by the association. The ministry said that most of the demands made by the union are related to policy issues and those demands will be included in the process of revising the Foreign Employment Act and Regulations.
