Kathmandu. On Saturday evening, a discussion began between Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah and Energy Minister Kulman Ghising to find the possibility of going together in the upcoming elections. Ravi Lamichhane, chairman of the National Independent Party RSWP, entered the discussion. The discussion was initially between Balen and Kulman. After Ravi was also added, it became tripartite. On Sunday morning, when Ravi and Balen reached an agreement, Kulman went out. Earlier, there were reports that there were frequent discussions between Kulman Ghising, the patron of Orudat Nepal Party, and Balen, who led the Desh Bikas Party, and that they were close to an agreement. There was not much discussion between Kulman and Ravi.

But, finally there is an agreement between Ravi and Balen, Kulman is out. As there was no agreement on power sharing between the three leaders, Ghising was left out of this unity process. After a night-long discussion, only Ravi and Balen signed the seven-point agreement and made it public on Sunday morning. This has resulted in the failure of Ravi, Balen and Kulman's attempt to form a single force.

Afterthe merger between the two parties, it has been agreed that the name of the party will remain Rashtriya Swatantra Party and the chairman will be Lamichhane and Balen will be the prime minister's candidate in the next election. A long discussion took place at a house in Baluwatar last night for greater unity between the three leaders. After Ravi Lamichhane, President of RSVP, entered the place where discussions were going on between Ghising and Balen Shah, there was a discussion on power sharing between the three leaders.

However, sources said that the name of the party, the election symbol, the chairman will all be from RSVP, and since Balen will be the prime minister's candidate, Ghising did not agree to this unity process. In the discussion, Kulman accepted the name of the party and the election symbol of his party and said that he does not want both the post of president and prime minister. However, after Ravi and Balen did not agree to this proposal of Kulman, Kulman did not participate in this unity.
