Kathmandu. Commercial banks have reduced interest rates for the month of January. Banks have reduced interest rates on fixed deposits with effect from January 1. In the month of January, Krishi Bikas Bank 4.40 percent, Everest Bank 4.40 percent, Kumari Bank 4.43 percent, Nepal SBI Bank 4.40 percent, Lakshmi Sunrise Bank 4.50 percent, Citizens Bank 4.50 percent, Prabhu Bank 4.55 percent, Machhapuchhre Bank 4.5 percent, Standard Chartered Bank 4.36 percent, Himalayan Bank 5 percent and Sanima Bank 4.55 percent.
