What is Nepal Telecom doing when the private internet package is stopped?
Kathmandu. With the decision of the Internet Service Providers Association of Nepal not to sell cheap and low-speed packages, there is a debate among Nepali consumers about whether internet charges will become more expensive. The association has said that it has been unable to provide cheap internet packages since last Monday.
The Association decided to close the reasonable price packages due to the increase in the price of electronic chipsets due to the rising fuel prices after the Middle East tensions, the increase in fiber prices, the high inflation and the rapid growth of AI, and the operating expenses of the service providers could not be raised due to this.
With the decision of the association, private internet service providers have announced that the sale of cheap packages has stopped. While the Internet is becoming a part of daily life, there is a growing suspicion that the lower class should be deprived of the facilities of the Internet when the affordable packages are suddenly discontinued.
