Weather forecast: Chance of snow and rain in high mountain areas

Kathmandu. At present there is a partial effect of western wind in Nepal. At present, there is fog in some places in the Terai region of Far Western Province. Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini states as well as Karnali and Sudurpaschim states are partly cloudy, while the weather is mostly clear in the rest of the states, according to the Weather Forecasting Division.
There will be fog at some places in Terai today afternoon. The hilly and Himalayan parts of Karnali and Sudurpaschim will be generally cloudy. The rest of the Himalayas including Koshi region will be partly cloudy and the weather will be clear in other parts. There is a possibility of light snowfall and rain at one or two places in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Similarly, there will be thunderstorms in some places of Terai tonight. The hilly and Himalayan parts of Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces will generally be cloudy, while the weather will remain clear in other parts. There is a possibility of light snowfall and rain at one or two places in Gandaki, Karnali and the high hilly and Himalayan parts of Sudurpaschim Province.
