Weather forecast: Chance of rain and snowfall in hilly and mountainous regions

Kathmandu. Today, the weather in different parts of the country will be generally changeable, according to the Weather Forecast Division of the Department of Water and Meteorology. According to the division, it will be generally cloudy in the Himalayan and hilly areas of the country this afternoon, while it will be partly cloudy in the plains.
Similarly, there is a possibility of moderate rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning at few places in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces as well as in the Himalayan and hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces. Toward the Terai region, one (two) places in Koshi and Lumbini regions have also seen total rainfall.
The department is forecasting some changes in the weather tonight. During the night, it will be cloudy in the hilly areas of the country, but there will be only partial change in the hilly areas, while the weather will remain mostly clear in the plains.
