Voting time changed: UML voting for new leadership election from 4 pm only
Kathmandu. The time of the voting scheduled to be held at Bhrikutimandap for the election of the new leadership of CPN-UML has been changed. According to Rajendra Gautam, head of UML's propaganda department, the voting time scheduled for Tuesday afternoon has been shifted to 4 pm.
He said that this time voting was going to be done through electronic voting machine and as detailed information with photos of many candidates had to be kept in the machine, the voting was delayed due to time taken in technical preparation. Due to the large number of candidates, it is estimated that it will take at least 35 minutes for one representative to vote for all positions.
Due to the use of electronic machines, the election results will be announced within one to two hours after the end of the voting process, according to the UML Central Election Commission.
