Vishwaprakash and Pushpa Bhusal were elected unopposed in the Congress

Kathmandu. In the 15th Congress of Nepali Congress, Vishwaprakash Sharma was elected as Senior Vice President and Pushpa Bhusal as Vice President unopposed.

The deadline for filing nominations for the senior vice-chairman was 7 pm on Tuesday. He was elected unopposed as the senior vice-chairman after only Sharma was nominated within the stipulated time.

Similarly, the Congress Central Election Committee said that Pushpa Bhusal was the only candidate for the position of vice-chairman for women. Bhusal was also elected unopposed as the vice-chairman with a single nomination.

Sharma was previously elected as the vice-chairman of the special convention of the Congress held last December. Before that, he was elected General Minister from the 14th Congress held in 2078.

Bhusal also became the vice-chairman from the special convention held last December. In the 15th Congress, both the leaders have continued in the same position.
