US-Ukraine talks on restarting peace talks

Kathmandu. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that the talks with US special envoys Steve Wittkoff and Jared Kushner were very meaningful and important. Speaking to journalists after the meeting on Sunday, Zelensky informed that there was an important discussion on resuming the peace talks that had been suspended for the resolution of the Russia-Ukraine conflict. He also said that security and economic guarantees for Ukraine and necessary support for the upcoming winter season were also discussed.

Zelensky noted that Ukraine expects more cooperation in the air defense and energy sectors. He also said that they hope for sufficient supply of American liquefied natural gas and the possibility of its use.

Representatives of some European countries, including Britain, France and Germany, also participated in the third round of talks. Zelensky informed that it was agreed to hold a meeting again with the aim of continuing the peace talks in the coming year.

He said that efforts to restart the stalled tripartite talks between Ukraine, the US and Russia have also been advanced. . Such talks are expected to help find a peaceful solution to the conflict.
