UML General Secretary congratulated Balen Shah

Kathmandu. CPN-UML General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has said that they have not been successful in the face of the wave of change. While Pokharel, who is also a candidate for Dang Constituency No. 2, is certain to be defeated, he said that his victory was not guaranteed due to the wave of change.

Party leaders and workers have worked very hard in the constituency where I am a candidate in this election. Well-wishers and relatives also gave support and help. But our efforts were not successful in the face of the wave of 'change', he said. Writing on social media, he has also expressed his wishes for a successful tenure to all the elected including Balendra Shah Balen, the senior leader of RSVP who is the prime ministerial candidate. Pokharel also said that victory and defeat are natural in the democratic process.
