UAE granted amnesty to 276 Nepalis, expressed gratitude by Nepal
Kathmandu. The Government of Nepal has expressed its gratitude to the UAE Government for the amnesty generously granted to 267 Nepalese prisoners on the occasion of the 54th National Day of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Government, Eid al-Etihad. Taking this amnesty as a symbol of the existing bilateral relations between Nepal and the United Arab Emirates, the government of Nepal appreciated this friendly and humane step of the UAE government by issuing a statement today.
According to the statement, the decision of the amnesty was decided by the UAE government in response to repeated requests by the Nepali Embassy in Abu Dhabi as per the instructions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
