Two Nepali farmers who were jailed for going to India to buy fertilizers were released on bail after 38 days
Kathmandu. Two Nepalese farmers from Sarlahi, who were arrested while going to India to buy chemical fertilizers for their fields, have been released after 38 days. Suresh Prasad Singh and Nagendra Prasad Singh of Balra Municipality-5 of Sarlahi were released on bail on Friday as per the order of the Indian court. The single bench of Akhlesh Kumar Jha, the co-special judge of Dumra Behavioral Court in Sitamarhi district of India, ordered to release them on bail on Wednesday.
According to Suresh Prasad's son Avinash Singh, both of them left the Dumarwa jail around 8:30 on Friday evening. "They have gone to Dumarwa to take mother and brother, father and elder father," said Avinash, "We have received news that they have been released." Lawyers Sanjay Kumar Jha and Kiran Chaudhary argued on behalf of the farmer in the court.
