Okhaldhunga. In Siddicharan Municipality-4 Charkhu, two houses were completely destroyed when there was a fire due to electrical leakage on Tuesday evening. A fire broke out in a two-storied house with a thatched roof and a stone-mud roof of local Kotmaya Karki due to a short circuit in the electric wire. Inspector Shekhar Kumar Sah of the District Police Office informed that the two-storey house of his daughter-in-law Gyanakumari Karki was also damaged due to the spread of the fire.

The fire was brought under control after three hours with the help of Nepal Police, Armed Police, fire department of Siddicharan municipality and local residents. It is said that the house of Kotmaya Karki was destroyed in the fire along with food, utensils, clothes, one tola of jewelry that looks like gold and 20 thousand rupees in cash.

Similarly, the house of Gnyan Kumari Karki was burnt and destroyed, along with food, clothes, two tolas and two annas of gold jewelry and 50,000 cash, the loss was about 1.4 million rupees, the police said. Police Inspector Sah informed that there was no human or animal damage due to the fire.
