Twenty-four thousand five hundred megawatts of electricity will be produced in the next ten years

Kathmandu. The government has published the 'Energy Consumption Growth and Export Strategy, 2083' with the goal of producing a total of 24,500 megawatts of electricity by the end of the fiscal year 2092, 93 with investment from the government, public and private sectors. In that strategy, there are projects that have been proposed, studied, under construction and are ready to go into construction. Apart from reservoir and semi-reservoir projects, solar energy projects are also included in the strategy.

The strategy aims to complete the much-discussed Budhigandaki Reservoir project by 2081. The project with a total capacity of 1,200 megawatts is under construction. The government has given priority to the project for which the investment framework has been decided but the implementation has not yet been decided.
