Trump's security meeting without conclusion, US-Iran peace deal in confusion
Kathmandu. A high-level security meeting called by US President Donald Trump in the Situation Room of the White House to take a "final decision" on a possible peace deal with Iran and the extension of the 60-day ceasefire ended without a conclusion. Although the important meeting with the national security team was over for about two hours, the White House did not make any official announcement about whether the agreement was approved or not, according to international media.
Earlier on Thursday, it was reported that the two countries had drafted a memorandum of understanding to extend the 60-day ceasefire and begin formal talks on the future of Iran's nuclear program. However, US officials have admitted that this will only be a blueprint until the top leaders of both countries approve it.
