Tourist activity is increasing in Kanchenjunga, local tourism business is excited
Kathmandu. With the arrival of tourists in the Kanchenjunga region, the third highest mountain in the world, enthusiasm has been added to the local tourism business. As the weather becomes favorable, the movement of domestic and foreign tourists has started to increase. Kanchenjunga region is considered suitable for visiting from the first week of March to the third week of May. According to Kanchenjunga Conservation Area Management Council, Tourism Assistant of Ghunsa Checkpost, Taphichiring Sherpa, 165 foreign tourists have visited in the last one month alone.
There are two major tourist seasons in this area, the first season is from March to May and the second season is from October to November. Last year, 750 foreign tourists came here in the first day. To reach the Kanchenjunga base camp, the road of Paktanglung Rural Municipality is used to reach the Suketar Airport via Sirijungha Rural Municipality via Panchthar's Ganesh Chowk or by air from Kathmandu.
