Today Maha Shivratri: All four doors of Pashupati open, three lines for darshan

Kathmandu. Mahashivratri is celebrated every year on the midnight of Falgun Krishna Chaturdashi, and is being celebrated all over the country today by ritually worshiping Lord Shiva. On the occasion of Mahashivratri, special arrangements have been made for the convenience of the devotees who come to the Pashupati area for the fair, said the Pashupati Area Development Fund. 

Three years ago, drugs such as ganja, bhang, dhaturo were banned in Pashupati. It has been continued this year as well. Fund treasurer Sridhar Sapkota said that if such substances are consumed or sold, action will be taken. 


On the occasion of Mahashivratri, the four gates of Pashupati were opened from 2 am today, the fund said. In previous years, more than 1 million devotees reached Pashupati area on the day of Mahashivratri.

Three outer lines for Pashupati Darshan

This year, on the occasion of Mahashivratri, three lines have been arranged for darshan at Pashupati. It has been said that arrangements have been made to enter the Pashupati Mool Temple complex from the outside via Mitrapark-Gaurighat, Umakunda-Dakshinamurthy, one line from Rudragadeshwar North Door, Battisputli-Goushala, Tribhuvan International Airport-Tilganga, Pingalsthan-Sumargi Bhavan, four Shivalaya-Panchadeval through Dakshinadoka and two lines from Dakshinadoka.
