Every year there is a tradition of celebrating this festival on the day of Bhadrakrishna Aunsi. According to the classical method, keeping the kush plucked by a Brahmin at home is a religious belief that the family will be well-being.
Theologian Prof. Dr. According to Devmani Bhattarai, kush plucked on these days can be used throughout the year, while kush plucked on other days is considered useful only for that day. In Sanatan Dharma, Kush, Tulsi, Peepal and Shaligram are worshiped as symbols of Lord Vishnu.
