Kathmandu. Today, World Urbanization Day is being celebrated in different countries of the world. Every year on October 31st, Urbanization Day is celebrated around the world.
This day has been celebrated since 2014. This day is celebrated by organizing world-class special programs in different cities today with the slogan of 'people-centric smart city', conveying the message of sustainable development and cooperation of the city.
At the call of the United Nations, a special program is being held today in Bogota, the capital of Colombia. The main purpose of celebrating this day is to promote global cooperation in building sustainable and equitable cities to solve global challenges like the housing crisis.
In 2014, the first Urbanization Day was celebrated in China with the slogan 'Major Urban Transformation'.
