Tiger census being made public

Kathmandu. World Tiger Day is celebrated on July 29 every year. This day started to be celebrated with the announcement of the Tiger Summit held in St. Petersburg, Russia in 2010.

The day was established with the aim of preventing the rapid decline in the number of tigers and protecting their natural habitat. The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Environment is releasing the latest national tiger count numbers today in the presence of Minister Gita Chaudhary on the occasion of the Day.
