Three oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz under Iranian control, tension further heightened after the US strike
Tehran. Three oil tankers trying to cross the Strait of Hormuz have been seized by Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC). According to the Iranian side, one of the tankers exploded and caught fire during the seizure.
Iranian media reported that the tanker was intercepted after it tried to force its way through the southern route at the instigation and baiting of the US forces. Iran has accused the US of cheating against the agreement, warning that any ship that tries to use the waterway without Iran's prior consent will face serious consequences.
