Three billion worth of electric vehicles entered in 9 months through the Birganj border crossing

Parsa. In the nine months of the current financial year, electric vehicles worth 2.98 billion rupees have been imported through the Birganj route. Compared to the same period of the last financial year, electric vehicles have been imported by 102 percent i.e. one billion and 50 million rupees more in the current year. 

Uday Singh Bista, Information Officer of Birgunj Customs Office, said that the import of electric vehicles has increased by 100 percent in the nine months of the current financial year. In the nine months of last year, electric vehicles worth one billion and 48 million rupees were imported. In the nine months of the current year, 493 electric jeeps, cars and vans worth 1.46 billion rupees have been imported. During the same period last year, 172 electric jeeps, cars and vans worth Rs 48 crore were imported.
