The World Bank will give 50 million dollars for Nepal's digital transformation
Kathmandu. The World Bank is going to give 50 million dollars for Nepal's digital transformation. Recently, the Executive Board of Directors of the World Bank, sitting in Washington, has decided to give this support to Nepal under the 'Nepal Digital Transformation Project'. Along with this decision, World Bank will mobilize the assistance to strengthen Nepal's digital public infrastructure and provide public services through digital means.
This project aims to fundamentally change the pattern of services provided to citizens. Under the project, investments will be made in digital platforms such as integrated online citizen service portals, secure data sharing systems, and digital lockers where verifiable certificates and digital wallets can be managed.
In order to increase citizens' confidence towards the digital economy, investments will also be made in electronic signature eSignature, cyber security and data governance under the project.
