Kathmandu. After the Genji movement, the UML, which was left out of the central government, has now reached a state of losing state governments as well. After the Congress ended its cooperation with the UML and started forming a new power equation with the CPN, the process of government change has started in Karnali, while the possibility of a new alliance has increased in other provinces as well.

UML is currently leading Koshi, Lumbini and Karnali states. If the Congress-NCP alliance succeeds, the UML may be out of power in these provinces as well. The activities of power change have intensified in Far West and Bagmati as well. Meanwhile, UML President KP Oli has indicated that he is ready to step down from the state government if necessary. He reiterated that he was in favor of running the government together with three parties and said that he was also ready to sit in the opposition according to the situation.
