Kathmandu. The term of Speaker Devraj Ghimire and Deputy Speaker Indira Rana has ended. The term of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker has come to an end with the date set by the Election Commission to file nomination papers for the election of the House of Representatives.
The term of offce of Speaker and Deputy Speaker is clearly explained in the constitution. According to clause 6 of Article 91 of the Constitution, in the event that the House of Representatives is dissolved, there is a provision that their tenure will continue until the day before nominations are registered for the next election. According to this arrangement, their tenure has ended today.
