The Ministry's objection to the accusations made in connection with the Minister of Finance in the electric vehicle customs case
Kathmandu. The Ministry of Finance has expressed serious objection to the rumors and attempts to assassinate Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle in connection with the customs clearance case of electric vehicles. Finance Minister's Private Secretary and Public Relations Adviser Navin Dhungana issued a statement stating that before the budget was announced, there were various criticisms regarding the passing of electric vehicles through some customs checkpoints and claimed that the Finance Minister was unnecessarily involved in it.
According to him, following the recommendation of the investigation committee formed by the Ministry of Finance regarding the fact that even the vehicles that have not reached the customs point at Rasuwagadhi checkpoint have passed the inspection, on May 20, 9 employees including the chief customs officer have been relieved of their duties and dragged to the customs department. According to the Ministry, further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
