Main News Image

Hetaunda The electricity line of Shivam Cement Industry in Hetaunda sub-metropolitan ward number-16 Hatia has been cut. In the past, the Nepal Electricity Authority cut off the line of Shivam Cement Industry due to non-payment of premium tariff by consuming electricity from dedicated and trunk lines during load shedding.

Shivraj Yadav, Head of Nepal Electricity Authority Hetaunda Distribution Center, said that the line was cut because Shivam Cement Udyog had yet to pay Rs 7788 million in fees. He informed that Shivam's line was cut this morning. On Tuesday morning, the authority cut the power lines of Jagdamba Steel, Reliance Spinning Mills, Ghorahi Cement, Arghakhanchi Cement Industries and Triveni Spinning Mills.

Jagdamba has Rs 1.60 crore, Reliance Rs 75 crore 37 lakh, Ghorahi Rs 50 crore 85 lakh, Arghakhanchi Rs 44 crore 84 lakh and Triveni Rs 32 crore 10 lakh. This arrears is due to additional fees for using dedicated and trunk lines from January 2072 to April 2075. Manoj Silwal, executive director of Nepal Electricity Authority, said that the counter has been arranged so that the industry can pay its dues even during the public holidays of Tihar.
