Kathmandu. Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari emphasized that the government should be proactive in creating an environment for elections. After taking the second copy of the citizenship from the Kathmandu District Administration Office today, she suggested the government and related agencies to create an environment for elections. She said, "The government should work to make the upcoming election violence-free and orderly." The security personnel should search and take control of the missing weapons of the police.
Former President Bhandari took a copy of the citizenship after her residence was set on fire on August 24 during the Genji movement and her citizenship documents were burnt. Chief District Officer of Kathmandu Ishwarraj Paudel presented him with a copy of the citizenship certificate. The district administration office was also damaged in the Genji movement. The office has provided regular services along with the reconstruction.
