The government has recovered Rs 7,514 crore, more than Rs 5 billion has been deposited in the relief fund.

The Kathmandu. Prime Minister Balen Shah has unveiled the integrated progress report of the government's rescue, relief and rehabilitation work following the devastating flood in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa. In a statement issued in the wake of the massive flood that caused huge loss of life and property in the coastal areas of Rasuwa, Nuwakot and Dhading on September 10, Prime Minister Shah said that the first priority of the government is to save the lives of every affected citizen and the entire machinery of the state is engaged in rescue work day and night.

The Prime Minister informed that 7,514 people have been successfully rescued so far through air and land routes despite adverse weather and difficult geographical conditions. The rescued people include 279 workers and employees trapped in various hydropower projects. In the rest of the region, 18,708 security personnel including Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force have been deployed.
