The industrialists have increased the price of gas by 150 rupees and 18 paise per cylinder on the pretext of increasing the cost of transportation due to the blockage of Prithvi Highway. With the increase in price, now the price of gas per cylinder has increased from Rs 2,600 to Rs 2,165 18 paise. Businessmen have said that this price will be applied in Kathmandu Valley from today.

On the 16th of August, when the Nepal Oil Corporation announced that the price of petroleum products would be kept unchanged, it opened the way for the businessmen to increase the price of their own accord. When the corporation opened the road to sell petroleum products at the old price for 15 km from the corporation's depot and office and 50 km from the industry in the case of LP gas, the businessmen voluntarily increased the price.
