The future of Nepalese in America is in doubt, about seven thousand Nepalese are at risk of deportation
Kathmandu. Thousands of Nepalis who came to America a decade ago to avoid the tragedy of the earthquake are now at risk of losing their legal existence. After the latest order of the US Federal Court of Appeals, the immigration of about seven thousand Nepali citizens who are receiving protection under TPS is in crisis.
After the court decided not to stop the government from proceeding with the TPS termination process, these Nepalis have been forced to face the possibility of deportation. Analysts say that this decision has given legal force to the immigration restrictions put forward by the Trump administration.
After the devastating earthquake in Nepal in 2015, the United States provided TPS facilities to Nepalis on humanitarian grounds. On this basis, they were able to stay and work in America. But this protection, which has been renewed for years, seems to be coming to an end.
