Kathmandu. In order to control public expenditure and manage the fuel crisis, the government has decided to significantly reduce the fuel facilities provided to government employees and special officials. According to the Ministry of Finance, due to the increase in the price of petroleum products in the international market, supply imbalance and the failure to collect the expected revenue in the current financial year, expenditure control has become inevitable. In this context, the ministry said that the fuel facility has been reduced to maintain frugality.
Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has re-determined the facilities related to fuel by revising the 'Work Operations Guideline, 2081' in accordance with the provisions of the Economic Procedures and Financial Responsibility Act, 2076.
