The employees involved in the trade union will not be disqualified in the elections

Kathmandu. The Election Commission has decided not to disqualify employees belonging to national level trade unions in the upcoming House of Representatives elections.

According to the commission, officials of national level trade unions, state and district working committees related to civil servants, teachers and other government organizations will not be appointed in the elections to be held on February 21.

Similarly, if a close relative of an employee is a candidate, that employee will also not be posted in that constituency.
