Kathmandu. Due to the combined effect of the western low pressure line developed in the upper atmosphere of Nepal, the local winds and the low pressure system active from east to west, it is predicted that there will be extensive changes in the weather in different regions of the country. According to the Department of Water and Weather Forecasting, it is likely to cause thunderstorms, rain and strong winds in most parts of the country.
At present, most of the Himalayan and hilly areas of the country including Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces are experiencing changeable weather, while the Terai region is experiencing partial change. Due to this system, moderate rains are currently occurring in some places of Lumbini Province and light rains in some areas of Gandaki and Karnali Provinces.
