Hetaunda Political parties have intensified mutual discussions and diplomatic initiatives for the formation of a new government in Bagmati province. In order to end the political deadlock created after the CPN-UML withdrew its support from the current Nepali Congress-led government, the major parties are engaged in the homework of forming a government under their own leadership.
For the new power equation, a preliminary agreement has been reached between the UML and the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) to share power. Ekalal Shrestha, chief whip of the UML parliamentary party, informed that talks with other small parties have also been started in order to get a clear majority according to the same agreement.
