sirah After the physical infrastructure and transport minister Kulman Ghisingh's on-site inspection and instructions, the construction company has committed to complete the unfinished Kamala bridge connecting Dhanusha and Siraha within three months.

This bridge under Hulaki Highway, which is considered the life line of Terai (Madhes), was agreed to be completed within three years in 2068, but it remained incomplete even after 14 years. Minister Ghisingh inspected the bridge construction site on Friday and closely felt the risk, suffering and insecurity that the locals have been facing for years.

After the inspection, Minister Ghising wrote on social media today and mentioned that his heart was heavy. "This bridge, which was started in May 2068 with a contract agreement to be completed in three years, is still incomplete and the local residents are suffering the most", he wrote further, "During the monitoring, the daily suffering, risk and anger experienced by the local residents became heavy. It gave me a deep sense of how challenging the hardships of the local residents are."

He informed that a detailed discussion has been held on the temporary option to facilitate the immediate movement of the locals and the necessary process will be carried out. In addition, he clarified that the related agencies will be responsible for the questions raised on the technical side and ministerial level monitoring will continue.
